Saturday, February 18, 2012, from 10 am to 2 pm will be the last open tryout for the 2012 Carolina Phoenix Women's Tackle Football team. The tryout/practice will be held at Ben L. Smith High School, 2407 South Holden Road, Greensboro, NC. No experience required; you just need a willingness to learn and a desire to play.
The Carolina Phoenix Women's Tackle Football team is currently inviting members of the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area to serve on our Board of Directors. We wish to have a diverse board and seek board members with varied backgrounds and experience. Please submit your resume and a letter of interest to Carolina Phoenix. The Carolina Phoenix made an appearance at the Durham Holiday Fun Fest on Saturday, December 3. We want to say thank you to all the fans that supported us.
On November 20 the Carolina Phoenix held a meet and greet event at Zydeco Downtown. Thank you to Zydeco Downtown for opening your restaurant to the Carolina Phoenix. Thank you to the women's flag football team, Something Serious, and our friends and family for their support of the event. We will hold more meet and greet events in the future.
Congratulations to the Carolina Phoenix flag football team for becoming the 2011 Triangle Area Flag Football League (TAFFL) Pink Champions. The team finished 9-0 and was never scored on the entire season. Way to go, ladies!
